As a Council, we have also benefited from our Ofsted and CQC inspection .We are now looking for a committed Deputy Principle Educational Psychologist to join our teamWhat does a Deputy Principal Educational Psychologist do at Hillingdon?Are you an experienced and dynamic Educational Psychologist ready for significant career progression? Explore the role of Deputy Principal Educational Psychologist in the London Borough of Hillingdon. This leadership position is pivotal in shaping the future of our esteemed Educational Psychology Service (EPS).At the heart of our offering is the chance to make a lasting impact. As a Deputy Principal Educational Psychologist, you will lead and manage a talented team of Educational Psychologists to deliver outstanding services to schools, local communities, and the Local Authority.Leadership Impact: Drive innovation, operational excellence, and contribute strategically to the development of our EPS.Community Focus: Uphold a culture of 'Putting Our Residents First' by delivering high-quality, person-centred services that meet the needs of children and young people.In the realm of Resident & Community Contribution, you'll provide expert EP services. This includes consultation, advice, and direct work with children and families. Your role extends to leading critical incident responses promptly and delivering training to school staff, supporting developmental activities.Under People Management, your responsibilities encompass selecting, developing, and managing the EPS team in alignment with HR policies. Ensure effective communication to maintain team engagement and foster a safe and healthy working environment.When it comes to Operational Service Delivery, you will assure and review practices for effective service delivery. Collaborate with other teams, contributing to leadership for continuous improvement. Your leadership will extend to various projects, such as the DSG Safety Valve project and Local Area SEND inspection preparation.Service Planning & Development involves developing and communicating annual team plans aligned with service goals. Establish clear Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for efficient service delivery and maintain a current service workforce plan and succession plan.In Financial & Resource Management, you will ensure responsible purchasing and procurement aligned with corporate guidelines. Manage workforce expenditure in compliance with corporate guidance and identify cost-effective changes for improved efficiency.Under Service Improvement, implement continuous monitoring of team and individual performance. Drive improvement initiatives and change programs using project management methodologies. Collaborate closely with other managers to ensure a coordinated approach.About youKey Performance Indicators:- Demonstrate excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.- Showcase previous leadership or management experience in a multi-agency project or team.- Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills with high ethical standards.Requirements:- BPS accredited MSc or Doctorate in Educational Psychology.- Eligible for full membership of AEP, BPS, and HCPC registered.- Post-qualifying experience at a Senior level.- Experience in partnership working and service planning.- Ability to assess children and young people, write quality reports, and deliver effective training.- Competent user of ICT and knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.Join us on this thrilling journey to make a real impact on the lives of children and young people.
