Deputy Manager – Children’s Services

Job Title: Deputy Manager
Job Type:  Permanent
Location: Norwich

Days and hours of work: Monday to Sunday (Rota basis) 40 hours per week
Start Date:
 ASAP
Salary: £31,700 + Inspection and performance related bonuses.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for Deputy Manager. This a fantastic opportunity to work with an independently run provider based in Norwich.

Our client provides residential care for children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour in a small residential home.

THE ROLE


  • To assist the registered manager and group managers in the effective management of the home and assume delegated responsibilities.
  • Promote the development of staff through training and regular supervision, ensuring a high standard of professional care, safeguarding and protecting the wellbeing of the service users.
  • To meet the needs of and promote the development of all living within the home.
  • To work in partnership with the staff team and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of all individuals
  • Have experience and knowledge of the Ofstead framework.
  • Develop a confident, competent and consistent staff team and provide leadership and guidance
  • Be involved in the recruitment and retention of staff
  • To ensure staff are adequately trained, supported and supervised
  • To promote the efficient and effective operation of the home
  • To contribute to the development and growth of the company

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE


  • You will have at least  2 years’ managerial experience in health and social care
  • You will have proven experience dealing with behaviour that challenges
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Have experience and knowledge of the Ofsted framework
  • NVQ level 3 or above
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Children’s Health and Social Care ( not essential but must be willing to undertake)
  • A passion for supporting individuals and encouraging independence
  • Creating staff rota’s and monitoring staff holidays and sickness
  • Auditing case files and writing reports
  • Assisting the Registered manager in HR administration tasks
  • Good communicator on all levels
  • Excellent Commitment and reliability
