Deputy Manager - New Milton, Caird Avenue Site Deputy Manager
Job Title: Deputy Manager
Hours: 47.5 hours per week
The Deputy Manager role for our Caird site is a really exciting role, working in our main site in New Milton, supporting the Manager and a working with a small team.
Duties will include:
Monitor and advise stock levels
regularly.
Monitor waste in, sort and reduce landfill
costs.
Review and sign all mobile & static plant defect sheets, assess repairs and servicing with depot manager, inspect plant to ensure correct reporting is carried out.
Assist in organising site machines servicing/parts
ordering.
Assist in maintenance on mobile and static plant as and when
required.
Assist with the completion of safety paperwork with staff and contractors prior to work commencing.
Organise the yard staff duties on a daily
basis.
Oversee safe working
practices.
Identify and report poor practice on
site.
Ensure operation of all plant is carried out in the correct and safe
manner
.
Help to implement key changes in the operations and processes on the
site.
Assist to ensure adherence to the requirements of ISO
14001/#####.
Assist in improving site productivity, efficiencies, reducing material
handling.
Operate mobile plant as and when required provided you have received authorisation and training.
Ensure machine cabs are kept clean and tidy and plant is maintained as per manufacturer's instructions.
Fill out defect sheets on mobile and static plant daily and report any defects to the site management in a timely manner.
Provide cover to operate concrete plant as and when required provided you have received authorisation and training.
Provide cover to operation of Weighbridge and inspection of loads in and out, generating Weighbridge Tickets to fully record all incoming and outgoing loads, whether sales or stock.
Dealing with Cash Sales to correctly record and account for all payments received.
Reconciliation of Cash Sales including payments by cheque, credit card and cash.
To ensure that the Company’s activities comply with legislation and regulation concerning Health, Safety and Welfare, Quarry Regulations, Environmental and Quality control the role will be required to learn, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures.
