We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher to join our fantastic team at Armley Grange School.About the roleTo provide a high-quality education service for our students in accordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and the standards set by the Regulatory Body. To work with the Head Teacher, leadership team and other stakeholders to secure high standards throughout the school.Key Task Areas and ResponsibilitiesTo comply with good safeguarding procedures and principles as detailed by the local safeguarding boardTo participate in the process of assessment of referralsTo act as overall curriculum coordinator and manager across the schoolTo act as the lead teacher for the positive support of behaviour that may challengeTo work as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team which encompasses education, residential care and the clinical teamTo monitor progress and targets to ensure that each individual student can achieve planned outcomesEssential criteriaRelevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with Autistic spectrum condition and/or challenging behavioursRelevant experience of teaching pupils and young people with complex needsExperience of managing staffManaging budgets effectively and ensuring cost efficiencyDegree and QTSAbout usArmley Grange is a new specialist school for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs.
