Our client, an outstanding-rated secondary school in Waltham Forest, East London is seeking an exceptional Head of English to lead their dynamic English department. The school is dedicated to providing students with an enriching and stimulating learning environment, fostering a love for language and literature.
As Head of English, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the department's vision, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning. Providing strategic leadership and guidance to the English department
Developing and implementing a comprehensive English curriculum
Overseeing the professional development of English teachers
Monitoring and evaluating the department's performance
Promoting a love of English literature and language among students
To excel in this role, you should possess:
A recognized teaching qualification (QTS or PGCE)
A strong academic background in English language and literature
A minimum of five years' experience teaching English at secondary level
Proven leadership and management skills
An unwavering commitment to providing students with an exceptional English education
