Deputy Head of Facilities (Hard Services)

Deputy Head of Facilities (Hard Services) Cardiff Students’ Union are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent facilities, can seamlessly collaborate with various teams and possesses the motivation to drive up standards and safety. You’ll play a crucial role in organising the delivery of our maintenance services, that are critical to ensuring the longevity of the building and the quality of the spaces within it.
You will be the manager of the maintenance team within the Facilities Department. The role is both a hands-on and managerial role, with the expectation that you will carry out some maintenance work yourself, whilst also acting as a source of expertise and guidance for the tasks undertaken by the team of staff you are managing.
Although a broad range of building maintenance knowledge and skills are desirable for the role, the make-up of the maintenance team means that we have need for someone with a strong electrical background to fill the role, so that there is a broader mix of skills overall within the team.
