Deputy General Counsel

Belmont Recruitment are currently working with a NHS Trust based in London�to recruit an experienced Deputy General Counsel�an initial 3-month temporary contract.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Deputy General Counsel will work with the General Counsel to provide expert and commercial orientated legal advice and services to the Trust. The key elements of the role are to:

• Provide senior legal advice to the Trust.


• Act as a Legal Business Partner with nominated business functions, providing commercial and strategic business advice.


• Deputise for the General Counsel


• Oversee and identify the legal issues in key business areas and their inter-relationships.


• Help train teams in key areas of law.


• Support the General Counsel in the development of the legal services team.
