I'm working with an NHS Trust based in Essex who are looking for an Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities on a 12 month contract.

The Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities oversees the strategic and operational management of the Trust's Estates and Facilities functions. This includes supporting the provision of high-quality healthcare and advancing services in alignment with the Trust's strategies and corporate objectives.

Job Title: Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities

Contract: 12 Months

Salary: Up to �530 inside IR35.

Location: Essex, Fully Onsite

Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:

  • Substantial senior management background within a large organisation focusing on estates and facilities management.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in managing significant change, shaping future direction, and possesses strategic planning and budgetary skills.
  • Proven track record of successful partnership engagement with various organisations at a senior level, ideally encompassing public, private, and voluntary sectors.
  • Experience in establishing efficient financial control protocols.
  • Extensive expertise in commercial and contract management to ensure stringent financial, legal, and risk controls.
  • Demonstrates a history of setting and attaining ambitious targets, alongside implementing innovative solutions aimed at enhancing services within strict financial parameters.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Can provide recent and ongoing evidence of personal development activities and plans.
  • Possesses an understanding and comprehensive knowledge of the entire NHS landscape, including awareness of the national agenda and its implications for the estate/Trust.
  • Holds technical, construction, and project management capabilities.
  • Demonstrates highly effective interpersonal skills for leading intricate negotiations and fostering strategic understanding, with an aptitude for grasping the long-term or widespread ramifications of decisions.
  • Proficient in Organisational Development, ensuring the health and effectiveness of organisational structures, processes, relationships, and behaviours.
  • Capable of composing and presenting intricate information, including crafting business cases, tender specifications, board reports, and policies.
