28.75 hrs hours per week
Working times are Monday - Friday term time only between 7.30am-1.30pm, Hours to be confirmed.
Deputising for the catering supervisor and assisting with the day to day management of the catering arrangements at a school taking specific responsibility for designated key areas. Carrying out food preparation, cooking and serving of meals contributing to the planning and control of all aspects of the service promoting Education Catering and Cityserve at all times through customer care.
Cityserve is a Birmingham City Council catering service for school meals providing fresh and nutritious food for school kitchen across the UK, healthy eating is a continuous theme throughout all of our menus, and we are committed to the wellbeing of pupils. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, delivers excellent customer service and is able motivate and support team members.
As a Deputy Cook, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the Catering Supervisor.
Delivery of daily staff briefings.
Ensuring all food and health and safety regulations are followed
Weekly online payroll submissions.
Staff training
Good Allergen Understanding
Essential Criteria:
