We are working with Enfield Council to recruit a Deputy Contact Centre Manager

Edmonton Contact Centre is a purpose built site, located close to Edmonton Green train and bus stations.

As Enfield's dedicated Supervised Contact team they provide a professional, effective, safe and caring environment for Babies and Children aged 0 - 16 years, while they have supervised contact with their birth parents and/or significant others in their lives.

Enfield work with children and families who are primarily in Care Proceedings or where proceedings have recently concluded. The aim of the service is to provide a safe, secure and child friendly environment where children can have direct contact with the important people in their lives. Enfield write reports for every supervised contact session, our contact reports form part of the court evidence and inform decision making for the children's future care.

Edmonton Contact service consists of a Centre Manager, Deputy Centre Manager, 8.5 Contact Supervisors, and reception staff, it sits within Enfield's Fostering and Permanence service. The team are qualified from within childcare and social work fields, and they maintain very close working partnerships with colleagues within all Children's social care services.

The Deputy Centre Manager will need to be an experienced Social Worker, who can support the Centre manager in managing this busy 6 day service. They must have sound knowledge of child development, as well as a passion to support children and their families through this difficult and sometimes traumatic time. The candidate will have an ability to write and support their supervisees to write comprehensive contact reports, and will take on the supervision of 5 Contact supervisors. The deputy centre manager will work with the Centre manager and the team to look at ways to develop the service to encourage positive working relationships between birth parents and foster carers. The successful candidate will be required to work some Saturdays and a shift pattern of 9-5pm or 10 -6pm.
