Salary: £50,000 to £58,000 plus bonus
Role: Permanent

Overview

Our client is one of the most known supply chain and logistics brands within the country. With over 2,500 vehicles and over 25 distribution centres across the UK and Europe, our client is a proud partner for several high-profile business across the UK and beyond.
We are currently recruiting for a Depot General Manager for their high-profile Tyneside site. With over 145,000 square foot of storage space and being the base for 150 vehicles and 250 members of staff, the Tyneside site plays a big role in keeping our clients’ customers happy.
We’ll look for you to bring your previous Depot experience to make sure the site runs smoothly. This is a real opportunity to come into a flagship depot, continue to develop and grow the business and really make an impact with a business which puts people at the heart of its strategy
Ideal Candidate:

• Management experience of leading and managing a team
• Experience of managing operational budgets and targets
• Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines
• PC Literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office
• An understanding of Transport regulations
• Good communicator and able to liaise at all levels
• Flexible approach to work to meet business requirements
• CPC Preferred

The Role – Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of 4 Direct Reports and a team of up to 100 indirect reports providing leadership and direction for the shift
• Ensure Depot meets client SLA’s and budgetary targets
• Ensure compliance with all site HSES rules and regulations
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
