Join us on this journey.About the role:You will be responsible for all aspects of periodic financial reporting, taking ownership to ensure cost control and financial objective achievement.You will report to the Engineering Finance Business Partner, ensuring that business case financials are best practise. Liaising closely and build strong working relationships with the Depot Teams and Finance is key to effectively report the financial resultsIf this sounds like your thing, we'd love to hear from you.Key responsibilities:This is a varied and challenging role, but here is a taste of what your day-to-day activities could include:Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including budget development and forecasts.Produce high-quality management accounts and financial information for cost centers.Lead proactive cost efficiency initiatives, driving business ownership and accountability.Provide financial support and analysis for business decisions and opportunities.Collaborate with finance teams to develop medium and long-term business plans.Act as financial advisor, ensuring compliance and advocating for Finance within the depot functions, which will involve attending the depots in Liverpool and Manchester on a regular basis.About you:You will have a comprehensive understanding of the impact of any event or proposal on business financial performance, in order to provide accurate forecasts and budgets. You'll need to be studying towards a professional accounting qualifications.We're also looking for the following:A high standard of software skills e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP.Excellent problem solving skillsA sound knowledge of current accounting practices and processes.Effectively communicate with the depot teams, especially when working under pressure, to work to tightly defined deadlines.Our Benefits:Because we value our people and reward hard work, we've created a benefits package that we think you'll love.
