Position Overview:



As a Depot Field Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, servicing, and repairing our rental equipment to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our clients to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver timely solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for engineering and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.



Responsibilities:




  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of engineering equipment and machinery, including but not limited to generators, compressors, pumps, and power tools.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.



Conduct pre-delivery inspections and equipment testing to verify functionality and compliance with safety standards.



Provide on-site technical support and assistance to clients during equipment setup, operation, and breakdowns.



Coordinate with the depot manager and dispatch team to schedule equipment deliveries, collections, and service calls.



Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, service history, and inventory levels using our internal systems.



Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.



Assist with the training and development of junior technicians and apprentices as needed.



Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, replacements, and new product offerings.



Qualifications:




  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance, servicing, and repairs, preferably in the rental industry or a similar field.

  • Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience with a variety of engineering equipment and machinery.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in the engineering industry.

  • Experience / Knowledge /Educational requirements

  • Worked within a service environment / branch and have a proven track record with regard to product knowledge and professional interpersonal skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of international electronic systems

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.






  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
