Department Production Manager - Pack & Despatch

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving Manufacturing business, based in Washington, who are looking to recruit for a newly established position as a Department Production Manager within their Pack & Despatch function.

The aim of the job is to lead a team to achieve outgoing deliveries and completed jobs to the quality standards required, in turn eradicating rework and wastage costs. Also, to improve efficiency in the departments around estimate versus actual performance, ensuring teams are all actively employed, whilst maintaining control of the cost of labour.

The ideal candidate:

• 18-24 months experience in a Supervisory/Management role within a Production/Packing environment


• Previous experience in a people driven production environment with low automation would be preferred 


• Ability to plan production and workloads for a 24/7 operation


• Ability to alter plans rapidly depending on circumstances

This is a dayshift role however support may be required on occasions outside of standard office hours.  A salay of £40k is being offered plus benefits and the company have an excellent track record in training and personal development.
