Revolution Beauty is looking for a Demand Planner to join our team, looking after the forecasting of customer demand. We are searching for someone analytical to deliver forecast on a 12-18 month planning horizon, at SKU level for your set of customers. You will be responsible for providing analysis in the process that focuses on customer, location & category level variances to budgets, risk assessment, opportunity identification, and provide specific guidance to critical stakeholders.As a key member of the Demand team, you will work proactively with sales & commercial teams, supply planning and supply operations to understand business requirements and identify opportunities.
Additionally, you will identify challenges within the forecast and effectively collaborate to resolve.
You’ll work cross-functionally with stakeholders to facilitate the development and implementation of organisational supply chain initiatives.
The ideal person will be able to use their planning experience to bring a clear understanding of the demand forecast on the owned brands and categories going forward and be able to articular and justify any significant movements. The will be commercially minded and will be confident in contributing to the forecast reconciliation aspects of the S&OP process in conjunction with other relevant stakeholders, and be responsible for developing a seamless feedback loop to the business on owned brands and categories. Finally, you’ll be someone who embraces Revolutions dynamic culture of executing with speed and quality while thriving in an entrepreneurial environment and being comfortable with collaboration across all parts of the business.What you’ll do: Manage and execute an 18-month SKU/Customer level demand forecast using Demandcaster, in cross-functional partnership with sales, finance, and supply planning. Reconciliation of demand plan to sales budget via monthly S&OP process, contributing to Demand Review meetings to ensure all departments are aligned to business plan. Challenge assumptions when significant deviations occur within the forecast and escalate as needed to drive resolution. Develop and continuously improve forecasting methodology, using advanced technical skills, that incorporates all available data, systems, and KPIs, and aligns with business outlook, specific to Revolution Beauty. Develop and maintain forecasting KPIs, metrics, and reporting, using them to drive tangible improvement in forecast and material supply. Provide ongoing analysis and feedback to the sales and finance teams based on subject matter expertise in demand forecasting, inventory management, business process, etc. Determine best methods to improve forecast accuracy and adjust forecast models as necessary to improve forecast accuracy. Analyse forecast bias to identify and understand variables and root causes impacting forecast and adjust appropriately; works closely with stakeholders to proactively adjust forecast to accommodate external information. Issue resolution/escalation: Product Line and Key item management and reporting, including root cause identification. Assist Supply Planning team in providing recommendations and improvements in seasonal and annual planning, driving effective inventory management efforts upstream. Drive insights and provide recommendations based on statistical analysis/reporting related to current trends by region, category, and/or customer to help drive successful achievement of financial goals. Drive the analysis and reflect current trends in performance of the product line based on actual sales. Take initiative to look beyond the everyday business for opportunities to maximise sales and inventory potential and drive results.
Insert self into the business, providing other analysis related to driving business goals (e.g. hindsight, ad-hoc, etc.) What you’ have: 2+ years of experience in a planning role, ideally within a fast-paced high-volume environment Strategic thinking; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strong mathematical and forecasting skills.
Ability to make decisions with limited information but also able to synthesise large quantities of data to drive business decisions. Strong communication and presentation skills. Concisely presents complex information/recommendations in terms meaningful to various audiences.
Intermediate level working knowledge of Demandcaster or similar planning platform Advanced MS Excel skills required. Intermediate level working knowledge of NetSuite and Power BI. Ability to build collaborative partnerships cross-functionally. Ability to influence key stakeholders. Proven ability to participate, support and provide appropriate analysis for internal and external executive discussions to drive continuous improvement in business results and processes. Proactive attitude in delivering solutions.
