A new instruction for an established key manufacturing client in the area for a Demand Planner that has become available, in order to support within the Team, due to the high volume of projects currently underway.Package:Attractive salary – depending on experience4% company performance relate bonus9% matched pension contributionHealth Cash PlanLife Assurance cover at 4 x base salary24 days holiday (+ bank holidays) plus you can buy or sell up to 3 daysMonday to Thursday 9am – 5pm, Friday 9am – 3pm!Attractive hybrid working: 50% on site and 50% working from homeThe Position:You will assist the Commercial Team to develop sales forecasts for all their productsAssist in maintaining the Manugistics forecasting system with all the data necessary to support the entry and storage of forecasts, and to produce accurate KPI’sTo improve demand forecast accuracyTo work collaboratively through facilitating and strengthening S&OP processTo support on service, supply/inventory and capacity investment decisions through comprehensive analytics, to enable decision making on future business needsTo share best practises within the demand planning team for re-application in other geographiesEducation & Experience we are seeking:Ideally 3 years + demand planning experience preferredIdeally BS/BSc in any field or related supply chain management, shipping, warehousing and inventory skillsPrevious experience working in a forecasting environment particularly with SAP & JDA in the past would be considered advantageousExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levelsWell organised detail orientated able to handle multiple priorities and high volume of data in a fast-paced and team orientated environment, always adhering to deadlinesThe ability to analyse data and determine opportunities for continuous improvementAdvanced excel skillsRegular Duties will include but are not limited to:To maintain a rolling 12 to 18 month consensus demand plan and gaining full alignment with key stakeholders. Influence and hold key partners in brand, sales and finance, accountable for consistent forecast inputs and address any input gaps. Identify and work to reconcile discrepancies and close gaps on an ongoing basis through comprehensive forecast error reviewsTo challenge sales forecast information provided by commercial teams, where significant changes have occurredTo support decision making considering risks and opportunities by presenting alternative scenarios and assessment of risk and opportunities around the demand plan, and align with the commercial team on the consensusTo support business understanding of volume forecasts and business performance through comprehensive analytics, including drivers of forecast changes and actual shipment variances to forecast. Must partner with key supply chain functions to analyse sales history and create trend analysisto communicate monthly forecast error results and KPI versus established targets and identify the report on root cause, for error above targetsWork continuously to improve all metrics and reporting processesTo integrate with supply chain teams proactively in managing trade-off between inventory levels and service levels, via the monthly S&OP processes.Responsible for launch forecasts for new product introductions to ensure initial purchases are not either excessive, or inadequateProvide relevant guidance for new product development SKU rationalisation, remnant inventory avoidance, and overall supply chain complexity optimisationTo alert supply chain on an anticipated demand changes likely to be of an exceptional natureResponsible for root cause analysis and providing information to the wider business around insight and reasons the changes to the demand planTo continually improve forecast accuracy using best statistical data and regular communication with the commercial teams and their distributorsResponsible for customers where necessary to ensure updated forecasts are received monthly on a timely basisWork with commercial teams to continuously improve the current demand planning process and information exchanges with distributors liaising with other functions ie. customer service and supply planning as required, to ensure processes are ready to accommodate the planned business growthIf you have the skills, knowledge an experience we are seeking, please apply with your CV preferably as a word document and you will be contacted as soon as possible.Recruitment Solutions (Folkestone) Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and as an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
