We put expertise, energy, and enthusiasm into improving everyone's chance of being part of the workplace.?We respect and appreciate people of all ethnicities, generations, religious beliefs, sexual orientations, gender identities, and more.?We do this by showcasing their talents, skills, and unique experience in an inclusive environment that helps them thrive.?Energy Debt Finance AnalystDay Rate £450-500 UmbrellaJob DescriptionDuration: 6 months (potential temp to perm)Location: Flex/Remote working with occasional monthly visits to one of the offices in Windsor, Leicester, or Stockport.Energy Debt Finance AnalystKEY for this roleMonth EndAttention to detail stakeholder management.Analysis DataSAP ERPACA QUALIFIEDUsed billing systems.Financial reportingWorked on projects.Role ResponsibilitiesResponsible for key month end accounting processes, including:Provide support to Energy Debt Manager and the Director, Financial Control on all financial accounting and regulatory matters across Energy Supply.Consolidation and reporting of the bad debt provision and bad debt charge, including reconciliation of write offs.Ownership of the complex debt month end for BGB, liaising closely with the following teams: Business Finance; Finance Systems; Revenue Assurance and Debt Analytics to ensure the variety of inputs into the process are understood and accurately treated.Play a key role in the consolidation and reporting of debt within the fast-growing New Energy Platform.Opportunity to develop automation skills to enhance debt accounting processes across two business units.End-to-end management and delivery of all financial controls relating to the business and the customer debt.Ensure all financial processes are robust, well controlled/documented and adapt to the changing needs of the business. This will include working with Risk & Controls team to ensure effectiveness of controls, as well as regular submissions.Building close working relationships across Finance teams ensuring alignment in thinking and consistency of presentation.External reporting and audit support - taking ownership of the numbers & dealing with related auditor queries, as well as working with the wider Financial Control team to complete half yearly submissions.Close contact with offshore General Accounting team to ensure balance sheet reconciliations prepared are robust and complete.Ad hoc projects and analysis as required.Strong Excel skillsAccomplished in working with and manipulating large amounts of dataStrong systems skills to preferably include SAP ERP/ISU/Power BIStrong analytical skills with ability to communicate complex matters effectively (written & verbal)Proven ability of working at a high level of accuracy against tight deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong organisation and prioritisation skillsCandidates will ideally show evidence of the above in their CV to be considered.
