We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Day Technician (Electrical) to join a dynamic team at a state-of-the-art datacentre facility. As a Day Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of critical electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on electrical systems, including UPS units, generators, switchgear and distribution panels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
• Conduct regular testing and load bank exercises to assess the reliability and capacity of electrical infrastructure
• Collaborate with other teams to coordinate PPM
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status and performance metrics
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and infrastructure upgrades.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• HVAP certification (High Voltage Authorized Person) is mandatory.
• Proven experience in Data Centre/Server room operations
• Strong technical background in electrical systems, HVAC, cooling systems, and facility infrastructure.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant industry certification (i.e. 18^th Edition)
