Job DescriptionAre you an experienced IT Support Analyst ?Do you have solid Microsoft SQL or Oracle skills ?Are you highly analytical with excellent attention to detail ?If so I have a really interesting role with my client who is a leading Fintech business in the Investment management industry.You will be based from their office in the city centre of Edinburgh however they offer very flexible hybrid working.In this role you will be providing 1st line support for their database platforms however there is career progression that could see you becoming a fully fledged Database Administrator.Responsibilities include:proactive monitoring of the database estate health & performanceas first level support for general database platform troubleshootingAssist with:vendor and development supplied scriptscreation of new databasesconfiguration of database resilience and backup strategiesconfiguration of database maintenance solutionsautomation of non-automated database support activitiesdata refresh requestsdata load requestsgeneral database administration requestsnon BAU project related support activitiesSkills should include:Solid experience in a technical support backgroundExposure to RDBMS ideally MSSQL or OracleBasic experience of SQL scriptingBasic experience of server architecture and virtualizationExposure to database management tools e.g. SQLPLUS, MSSQL Management Studio, Oracle PL/SQL Developer etcFor more information get in touch on ##### #####
