An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for a Database Developer to join a leading insurance organization in the London Market, currently undergoing a significant process and technology transformation. You will participate in a company-wide systems development project, continuous improvement, and BAU activities while collaborating with diverse teams, including Front-end Development, BI, Project Managers, and Analysts.
Working within a fully Microsoft environment, your expertise as a SQL Database specialist in systems development will be crucial in advancing the organisation's technological initiatives. You will engage with senior internal members and external vendors/suppliers and contribute to the migration of SQL Server systems to the cloud, facilitating cloud-based development and technologies.
This contract is Inside IR35 and requires a hybrid working arrangement. Experience within London Market Specialty insurance is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
Develop, optimize, and maintain T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application requirements.
Perform performance tuning and optimization of SQL databases, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Design and implement ETL processes using SSIS to facilitate data integration and migration.
Create and maintain reports using SSRS, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery to stakeholders.
Collaborate with Azure DevOps teams to automate deployment and continuous integration processes.

SSIS and SSRS (knowledge of SSAS environments is beneficial)
