Data Scientist
At Peacock Technology we use our expertise in machine vision, robotics, and artificial intelligence to lead the way in sustainable food production. We are building long term food sustainability and animal welfare.
We have a talented development team, including engineers with PhDs in Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. We also have close working relationships with universities, colleges, and research organisations.
As well as our main food sustainability and animal welfare programmes we run other machine learning based projects, for example accurately sorting 200,000 Lego Pieces, detecting broccoli heads for harvesting, and measuring the weight of fish using vision.
We have an opportunity for a Data Scientist to join our development team and play a key role developing machine learning solutions for product that will improve our world.
Job description
Friendly and professional, you will be responsible for understanding the business and developing models to meet the business needs.
The role will involve working with ML Engineers and Software Engineers to enable efficient algorithm deployment and management of the ML lifecycle.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for data science, who has a professional approach to projects and who can find solutions to unusual challenges.
Responsibilities
·Analyse how business problems can be solved with machine learning
·Data Sourcing, Cleaning and Exploration
·Analyse and visualize data at different stages of the ML lifecycle
·Capable of developing custom models and algorithms
·Work with multiple datasets and generate synthetic data
·Develop data annotation strategies
·Communicate with stakeholders across the business
·Inspire and contribute to the modelling workflow tools
Qualifications and experience
·Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related subject
·Excellent knowledge of ML model development and the ML Lifecycle
