As a Business Development Manager - Data Science, you will spearhead efforts to drive profitable growth in our commercial ventures. This pivotal role marks an exciting phase for us as we expand our offerings in data science and computational modelling within the materials science domain.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across various business sectors, you will be instrumental in project delivery, project scoping, and strategic networking, all while nurturing key client relationships.
Ensure high-quality project delivery to maximise client satisfaction.
Cultivate and maintain robust industry relationships to bolster our network.
Collaborate with technical teams to translate scientific insights into actionable customer recommendations.
Tailor data science and computational modelling solutions to meet diverse customer needs.
Craft and execute a data-driven commercial vision for our Computational Modelling and Data Science Team.
Engage with business stakeholders and monitor market trends to identify growth opportunities.
Lead projects focusing on computational modelling and data analytics within the materials science realm.
Thriving in collaborative settings, you excel at working towards shared goals and delivering exceptional service to our clients. Relationship building comes naturally to you, and you stay abreast of emerging industry developments. With your strong communication skills and adept people management abilities, you're the ideal candidate to lead our Data Science and Modelling team in materials science research and development.
Essential experience in business development, and client relationship management.
Strong communication, team-building, and decision-making skills.
D. or Master’s degree in Data Science, Materials Science, or related fields are welcome. Alternatively, individuals with industry experience in data science and materials science, complemented by a strong commercial background, are also encouraged to apply.
Proven expertise in computational modelling, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
Ability to craft compelling data-driven narratives for clients and stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in a business context.
Skilled in building and nurturing client relationships.
Ability to prioritise tasks and maintain focus on strategic business objectives.
Based in Stone (UK) with travel required to client locations, the AMRICC Centre, hosted and managed by Lucideon for the MICG consortium, leads the UK in advanced ceramics development.
