The Marketing Reporting & Intelligence team is responsible for ensuring our clients and agency teams have access to reliable, accurate, easy to use data and information to answer business decisions in a timely manner.

The team powers optimizations, supports new reporting pipelines, and ensures proper integration into business intelligence technologies. This role will work in tandem with (and in support of) agency leads to ensure success and ownership across their entire client portfolio, while supporting advertiser-specific customization, technology, and data requirements.
This role will be dedicated to lead marketing reporting on a key global account, working with a global team. The Director will provide guidance, leadership, and insight to process and overall design of marketing reporting – helping guide both the strategy and structure of the organization. This role will require proven technical skills that will enable the trust of Omnicom agencies and their clients.
This role plays an integral part in managing the client relationship and delivering on a high-visibility capability. He/she will work in tandem and in support of the agency leads to ensure success but allow for agency customizations and ownership as needed. This role will oversee and guide the data operations, governance, technical build & maintenance of performance reporting & optimization generation tools & reports, the optimizations generation and delivery of recommendations to agency activation teams, the delivery of results, impact and key performance indicator tracking to clients.
Marketing Reporting & Intelligence functions includes:
Business Intelligence – design, create and oversee complex performance reporting systems leveraging automated APIs, ETL and dashboards
Taxonomy & Naming Conventions – advise on best practices, support agency rollout, and develop governance reporting to monitor compliance
Insights & Optimization Recommendations – use machine learning and human analysis to discover and share insights and optimization recommendations for agency teams to implement with a focus on digital performance channels
Technology Evaluation – assess existing reporting infrastructure, lead evaluation of new technologies, and develop optimal solution design
Account & Agency Support – support new business/renewal/upgrade efforts, develop account plans with agency stakeholders, and assist in accurate financial tracking
Best Practices & Training – develop standard operating procedures, produce applicable solution/feature documentation, and evangelize the benefits of reporting automation across the holding company
New Business & Client Pitches – lead new business presentations for the largest accounts that require experts in the performance reporting or taxonomy arenas
Key Responsibilities:
Lead marketing reporting and intelligence for a key global account, including data visualization; campaign dashboarding, reporting automation, and data services
Performance Reporting Capabilities
Oversee and guide the creation of a governance & data quality tracking system, based on Marketing Reporting & Intelligence best practices that alerts agency users and informs of what actions need to be taken to ensure the utmost data quality and accuracy
Develop and implement innovative solutions that allow for automated insights generation using machine learning
Create a technical & operational framework to deliver insights (combining machine learning & human generated optimizations) in a prioritized and easy to implement report for activation teams globally in each country (focus on primary regions)
Ensure the solution delivers on-demand access to agency teams and clients in a manner that facilitates intuitive understanding and sound decision-making, be it through dashboards, reports, data services, or analytic environments
Accountable for defining, implementing, and managing technology-driven processes that enable efficient access to usable data for analysis and presentation, while empowering agency teams to make informed decisions about their client’s business
Operate as an extension of a distributed team to support successful delivery of reporting solutions and optimizations
Data Operations
Serve as the account’s champion of data quality and use of data for better decision-making
Develop a governance operations framework, based on marketing reporting and intelligence best practices, that ensure the utmost quality and accuracy of data leveraging both automated and human oversight and engagement
Provide expertise across data sources to drive development of governance solutions (processes, technologies, etc.) to ensure achievement of service-level agreements across accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and access rights
Accountable for governance and data operations trainings and support globally
Relationship Management
Maintain collaborative and cross-functional relationships with clients, agencies, and vendors
Acts as an internal advocate for clients and translate business goals into actionable recommendations
Communicate effectively with leadership for success updates, requirements, and to ensure best practices are both shared out and implemented within their group
Develop and support junior team members
Measures of Success
Accuracy and timeliness of reports to internal and client stakeholders.
Data quality and user data entry compliance – including, but not limited to: naming convention compliance, alignment across DSPs, social platforms and ad servers, accurate planned and delivered spend tracking (pacing), and tagging and tracking of key performance indicators
Level of satisfaction, utilization, and impact for agency partners as it relates to provisioned reports and dashboards
Impact to clients’ key performance indicators
Required Skills
10+ years of experience in digital and campaign reporting, data operations & governance, and optimization recommendations
Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority; extensive involvement on projects including offshore, technology, operations, vendor and/or agency teams preferred
Mastery of business intelligence technologies; direct use of Salesforce’s Datorama, Alteryx, PowerBI, or Salesforce’s Tableau; Certification in Datorama is a huge plus
Understanding of the application of programming/query languages for business intelligence purposes; fluency in Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), R, JavaScript, LookML, and/or SQL preferred
Experience developing direct reports
Ability to grow and improve client results and mediate effectiveness and efficiency
Understanding of our industry and how reporting and insights will benefit Omnicom’s clients
Analytical mind with problem solving capabilities and aptitude
Deep understanding of marketing and ad technology data and relationship to marketing processes
Excellent communications skills, with experience communicating across groups with varying degrees of technical background
Ability to work in an agile manner in a rapidly changing requirements environment
Global and cross-functional team management skills
Experience with tagging or ad operations is nice to have
Experience with ad technology or media activation is a huge plus
Education & Experience
BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
At least 10+ years of relevant experience in media and agency environments
