Our purpose is to inspire our clients and people with the confidence and freedom to explore, create and build – to enable people and businesses to thrive.Hybrid working – Commutable distance to London, Manchester or Birmingham local office.As the Data Management Lead, you'll spearhead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Data Management within our specialty insurance operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll establish and maintain data management arrangements, ensuring data accuracy and integrity to support strategic objectives. With a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong leadership, you'll drive the adoption of data management practices and develop a continuous improvement plan.As a senior member of the Data Governance Team, you'll lead projects to develop and implement Data Management strategies and frameworks, embedding good data management practices across the organization. You'll design and implement the Data Management strategy for GSI4, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Working closely with key partners, you'll establish collaborative operational data management arrangements to maximize the value of our data and support business growth.Data Management Responsibilities:Design and implement the strategic Data Management Framework and roadmap.Provide specialist input for Data Management aligned with best practices and regulations.Lead oversight and compliance arrangements for Data Management policies and standards.Establish performance measures and a Data Risk Profile for the Data Governance Framework.Collaborate with business and technology for Data Management tools and education programs.Act as liaison point between technical and non-technical stakeholders.Lead creation of reference and master data standards and oversee their adoption.Design and implement data lineage arrangements.Identify data assets and track their movement through the organization.Identify and address data process issues through data lineage tracking.Data Definitions and Metadata Responsibilities:Design and implement consistent data definitions and metadata standards.Lead stakeholder discussions to agree on data definitions and metadata points.Establish governance processes for changes to Data Definitions and Metadata Standards.Knowledge and SkillsProven experience in data governance, strategy, reference and master data management.Extensive experience with MDM technology, such as Informatica both cloud and on-prem.Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and regulations.Familiarity with data quality frameworks and standards.Knowledge of data privacy and protection laws and regulations.Strong people management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and security.Your career with usAt MRSG, you’ll find the flexibility, development and support you need to excel your career combined with a competitive salary and a benefits package that promotes wellbeing and work-life balance, on top of the standard features that include a non-contributory pension, private medical care, life assurance and more!Diversity & InclusionCreating an inclusive environment is a crucial part of the Munich Re culture, and we are committed to our Diversity & Inclusion Policy.
