Key Responsibilities:Strategy and PlanningDocument data mapping logic.Monitor data quality metrics and remediation of data quality issuesMaintain controls on data quality, interoperability, and sources to effectively manage corporate risk associated with the use of data and analyticsTo develop and maintain strong operational and strategic relationships with key internal customers within the businessPolicy, Process and Procedures Monitor and act on exceptions found in data quality reports.Ensure business insights derived from accurate data are consistent and representative of the true state of the businessIdentify where derived insights can make a step change in insurance performance – risk management, claims, fraud etc. and execute to make that change happen.Work with the business, clients, and other 3rd parties to identify key data requirements to drive the analytics agendaWork to Data Governance principles, policies and programs for stewardship and custodianship of data and analytics, in concert with legal, information security, and corporate risk and compliance officesDemonstrate behaviours for the appropriate use of data within changing security requirements, privacy needs, ethical values, societal expectations, and cultural normsChair Data Governance Analyst meetings to proactively track and steer remediation of data quality issuesEnvironmental Awareness/Customer Focus Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that service delivery meets business expectations.Work with SMEs across business functions to define requirements and product specs.Work closely with IT relating to the design, development, and implementation of software programs, cloud-based solutions and assignments will be key responsibilities.Be hands-on and agile, demonstrating a “roll up your sleeves” mentality and willingness to remain proactive in communicating with internal stakeholdersTechnical Performance Provide creative insights, implications, and recommendations about current and future data trends and areas for improvement, focus or investment. Ensure that commercial ambition is balanced with effective and rigorous cost managementManage data issues and data dictionary solutions.Contribute towards the delivery of analysis, management information (MI) and reports to the executive team to ensure effective decision-making including understanding of risksKeep abreast of industry news and trends and perform regular market research to analyse the competitive landscape to proactively address competitive threats, inform the product roadmap and anticipate market trends and evolving client needsInvolved in the testing of outputsSkills & Experience:Specific professional qualifications (and broad business qualifications) at the level of degree or equivalent.Experience in Data and Business analysis tasks.Experience working with Agile teams and project deliveryQualified within own personal discipline, with extensive post-qualification work experience to include:Working with large third-party vendors/ external suppliers.Strong track record of technology delivery.Interpreting business strategy and translating this into IT strategy.Project management/co-ordination, including managing multiple projects and complex projects to quality, time and budget.Bring immense curiosity; challenging the status quo and stirring innovative approaches to existing processes and operationsLeadership skills.Excellent organisational and people-management skills.Relationship management.Technical acumen – ability to understand how technology and data can support the business.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Problem solving and decision-making skills.Strong customer orientation skills.Excellent organizational and people management skills.Able to manage conflicting priorities to achieve deadlines.Able to plan effectively and efficiently.Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.Programme-management – ability to manage multiple, complex projects whilst meeting deadlines.Change Management.At Aspen we know that having a diverse and inclusive workforce is good for our people, good for our business and good for the environments in which we operate.
