Company Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our data infrastructure and play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our data solutions on the Azure platform.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement data solutions using Azure services, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lakes, and other cloud-native technologies.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses on Azure, leveraging technologies such as Azure Data Factory.
Implement and optimize data solutions using Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate advanced analytics and machine learning models into data workflows.
Ensure data security, compliance, and quality standards are met.
Provide support and expertise in data-related projects and initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Azure technologies.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Cosmos DB.
Expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
Hands-on experience with big data technologies and data lakes on Azure.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
Knowledge of Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of data modelling, schema design, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with data integration patterns and best practices.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is a plus.
