Data Engineer - DBT, Python, SQL Leading Hedge Fund up to £250,000 total compensation

Push the boundaries of BI, building complex data pipelines and beautiful visualisations for all kinds of business users at this 50bn Hedge Fund. Every business user here understands the power and importance of data for them to do their jobs and for the business to excel. You don t need to understand what a Hedge Fund does, but you ll need to be adaptable and eager to learn. You ll take data requirements direct from the business users and you ll be given freedom and support to come up with your own ideas to give the best solution back. You ll work on the projects end to end. As mentioned above you ll take requirements from the users directly, not from a BA or PM and you ll build the solution. They work in a mix of SQL, Python programming but also operate with modern tech such as Snowflake, Airflow, DBT, Kubernetes/Docker and cubeJS whilst also using Tableau CRM and Jupyter notebooks for gaining data insights. If you think there s a better or newer tool, you re free to use that too. The key think is that you ll be a trusted expert in your field and you will be left to come up with your own solution. You will be building dashboards in Python as well as be in charge of Transformation when it comes to ETL pipelines. Experience wise, you ll need to be a SQL Server expert with strong architecture skills and also strong skills with Python, and DBT. The more experience with things like Airflow, cubeJS and Snowflake, plus other data viz tools would be a huge plus. Total compensation for this role is up to £250,000, split between salary, sign-on bonus and performance related annual bonus. It s a highly rewarding environment.
