Job Reference #290896BRCityLondonJob TypeFull Time Your roleUBS is seeking an experienced MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection) Maintenance & Operations Specialist to join our Data Center team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Data Center MEPF systems. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the operational integrity and resilience of our data center facilities, which underpin the vast financial services we offer to our global clientele. The MEPF Maintenance & Operations Specialist will interact and coordinate with building management, engineers, and IT.Your teamYou will be working in the Data Center Services Infrastructure UK regional team in London to ensure seamless operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of our Data Center MEPF systems.Key Responsibilities:• oversee and manage the performance of service providers, ensuring adherence to UBS’s high standards and contractual obligations.• foster and maintain robust vendor relationships, conducting regular reviews and assessments to drive service excellence.• implement a comprehensive control framework to monitor and evaluate service delivery and compliance.• lead incident management efforts, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.• spearhead change management initiatives, aligning MEPF systems and processes with evolving business requirements in line with regulatory needs.• monitor and manage capacity across operational, environmental, and financial dimensions, providing regular and insightful reporting to stakeholders.• maintain accurate and comprehensive records of MEPF systems and operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational readiness.• develop and deliver training on engineering processes, tools, and applications to enhance team capabilities and performance.Key Behavioral and Skills Competencies:• strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and service providers with confidence and clarity.• exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.• exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving issues swiftly and effectively.• ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies and operational needs.• proficiency in managing projects, with a track record of successful implementation and change management.• Strong interpersonal skills to work with senior management.• understand and mitigate risks associated with MEPF operations with a data center environment.• strong organizational skills with a high level of precision and attention to detail.• excellent Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills.• highly motivated, able to work independently and apply own initiative.Your expertise• bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.• master’s degree or professional certifications in data center operations is a plus.• Several years experience in MEPF systems within a data center or similar critical environment.• proven track record of managing service providers and vendor contracts.• proven track record of establishing control frameworks.• familiarity with industry standard and regulations related to MEPF systems.• strong financial and operational reporting skills.• proficient in the use of engineering process tools and applications, with the ability to train others.• understanding of technology solutions, record management regulations, capacity management principles and reporting practices, incident and change management protocols.About usUBS is the world’s largest and the only truly global wealth manager.
