Data Centre Capacity Planner

You will join a small team providing capacity planning services to our client. As a Data Centre Capacity Planner you will be engaged across 2 Data Centres in the North East with a primary function to review all Workload Placement approvals and Change Requests for equipment installation / de-installation and governing the process of Customer installations / de-installations.
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30, primarily on-site in Wynyard but also covering the site in Doxford.
Due to the nature of our client's work, the successful candidate must either hold or be willing to obtain
SC security clearance.
As a Data Centre Capacity Planner you will:
Review all workload placement approvals and change requests for equipment installation / de-installation
Govern the process of customer installations / de-installations
Arrange for installations / de-installations to be carried out by technically qualified parties
Ensure and verify identification tags are attached for each item of customer equipment
Review and approve customers rack designs, order all necessary technical equipment (i.e. power whips, cabinets)
Equipment grid placement
Provide review for proposed solutions to validate requirements and identify potential faults
