Job Description
As the Data Architect, you'll lead data architecture initiatives, establishing standards and practices essential for effective data management. Your focus will be on designing and implementing robust data and information systems, ensuring they meet stringent criteria for modelling, flow, lineage, quality, and security.
Working closely with stakeholders and data governance teams, you'll drive adherence to established standards, facilitating data-driven decision-making processes across the organisation.
This role encompasses:
Developing and maintaining a comprehensive Data Architecture Framework and maturity roadmap.
Enforcing best data practices, setting standards, and ensuring compliance.
Creating data models and overseeing the implementation of changes to address evolving business needs.
Providing leadership in evaluating and implementing master data management and metadata management solutions.
Collaborating with IT operations and delivery teams, producing essential data architecture artifacts.
Your responsibilities will also involve:
Defining, implementing, and governing data architecture practices and standards.
Creating and managing data models, ensuring alignment with business solutions.
Serving as an expert in master data management and metadata management.
Developing strategic roadmaps aligned with business and technology goals.
Identifying and leveraging business opportunities through innovative data solutions.
Keeping abreast of industry trends and regulations to drive continuous improvement.

You'll bring proven experience in data architecture, governance, and lifecycle management, along with proficiency in database technologies and cloud platforms.

Proven data architecture experience covering analysis, modelling and data and information systems design
Experience with data management, database management systems, data services (including APIs), and enterprise data platform technologies (e.g. Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
Experience architecting data-centric solutions at a conceptual, logical and physical level
Experience in architecting, designing and implementing solutions on AWS and Microsoft Azure stacks, including data pipelines, security and networking
Expertise with data warehousing, data lakes and data lake houses
Experience with master data management software and technologies
Experience with ETL technologies including SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory
Working knowledge of agile development, CI/CD, test and data automation
Working knowledge or experience of architecture frameworks, e.g. TOGAF
Expertise in relational and object database systems, e.g. SQL Server, MySQL, DynamoDB, Cosmos
Familiar with industry data standards and regulations, e.g. PCI DSS, GDPR, DPA
