Job DescriptionJob Title: AWS Data Architect Role Type: Contract, Outside IR35Location: Nottingham, 1 day a week on siteRate: £650 - £700p/d Company Brief:Join a leading insurance company based in Nottingham, UK, at the forefront of innovation in the insurance industry. This will be an initial 9-month project as they currently are undertaking a large cloud transformation project. Key Responsibilities:Design and implement AWS-based data solutions to meet business objectives, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Develop data models, data flow diagrams, and architectural documentation.Implement data governance and compliance measures to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.Optimise data pipelines for performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data engineering team.Key Requirements:Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a focus on AWS cloud technologies.Strong expertise in designing and implementing data solutions using AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, and Lambda.Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.Familiarity with data governance, compliance standards, and best practices.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Speciality, or AWS Certified Big Data - Speciality are a plus.
