The Opportunity :
For the Ministry of Defence (MOD), maintaining National Security is a 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year mission. For this reason, it partners with this Big 4 Firm to support its multidisciplinary AI & Cloud Data Analytics Capabilities.
The Data & Analytics team sits within the AI & Data consulting group, focusing on delivering complex initiatives across the Defence & Security sector.
The Role :
As a Data Analytics Consultant, you’ll design and build data solutions such as ETL components, data warehouses or data virtualisation implementation. Working closely with client stakeholders to design the source-to-target mappings for large-scale data migrations whilst conducting interviews and support workshops to capture business or technical requirements for a data solution.
Required Skills/Experience :
• British Passport Holder with active DV (Developed Vetting Clearance)
• Skilled Data Analyst with the ability to translate business requirements into functional/technical data designs/solutions
• Agile and/or DevOps for software development & IT operations
• ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend or Pentaho
• Data governance and data management tools such as Informatica MDM, Informatica AXON, Informatica EDC, and Collibra
• MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases
• Programming languages such as Spark or Python
• Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud and distributed processing technologies such as Hadoop
Benefits :
• Base Salary: £45,000 - £75,000 (DoE)
• Discretionary Bonus: Circa 10% per annum
