Data Analyst

Introduction
Our client is a large Consultancy and is looking for specialists in Data and Analytics to work on Government and Defence programmes.
You will be comfortable applying data solutions to client's problems and feel happy in a client facing and delivery role.
They are happy to consider candidates across data visualisation, data warehousing, reporting or implementation as long as you have sufficient experience working with Defence or National Security clients!
Working Patterns - Min 1-2 days per week on site, but consultants must be happy traveling up to 4 days per week so customer sites if required.
Key responsibilities
Work across developing data strategies through to implementing solutions.
Gather requirements from clients to understand how best to create a solution that utilises the data that the clients have.
Build or design data solutions which have ETL components, data warehouse or reporting solution, or data virtualisation implementation.
Design the source to target mappings for a large-scale data migration.
Manage scope and prioritising features to best improve the client's data performance.
Advise clients on technology and appropriate tooling for maximum value.
Conduct workshops or stakeholder interviews to best capture requirements and gain buy in.
Skills & experience
Experience as a Data Analyst or Consultant utilising data for business improvement projects.
Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical data designs.
PowerBi, Tableau or R for data visualisation.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, ideally within a Consultancy environment.
Experience in ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend or Pentaho.
Knowledge of one or more databases (MySQL etc.)
Familiarity with Spark or Python or similar.
Familiarity AWS, Azure or GoogleCloud.
