Data Analyst (37 hours per week, Permanent)
Location: Hybrid working with Salvus House, Durham / Western House, Peterborough as a base
Salary:£34,643 – £43,076plus a discretionary bonus potential of up to 8% of annual salary Job Level: D
Reporting to: Data Analytics Manager

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
As a member of the Data Analytics team who are responsible for developing Management Information and analysis for Wave, this role will be flexible and will be required, depending on the business needs, to cover a range of different analytics activities. The role will include defining the required scope of reports with key stakeholders, extracting data from our systems and transforming it into information as well as ensuring the information is provided and communicated in a useful and accessible manner to the Wave audience. Development and improvement of analytics processes and systems will also be an aspect of the role as we look to ensure that Wave has the information it needs to deliver operational excellence and good customer service.
WHAT WILL YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?
The role benefits from being exciting an varied and there’s no such thing as a typical day but regular tasks include:
Develop reports and dashboards (primarily using Power BI)
Gather requirements, design solutions and work with stakeholders on their delivery
Develop complete and accurate data models covering processes, data and organisation
Test and document solutions and validate outputs with users
Assist in the development of MI reporting solutions and data structure
Create and manage business requirements documentation.
Act as business partner for Data Analytics to other Wave teams as required.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
Highly skilled in SQL, Excel and BI tools such as Power BI with the ability to create interactive dashboards
Highly numerate
An ability to turn complex business information into meaningful business insight
Organised and reliable with attention to detail
Forward thinking with a ‘can-do’ attitude
Able to work independently and as an active part of the analytics team
