Job Overview:
As a Supply Chain Management Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in supply chain logistics and transportation to provide strategic guidance and operational support. You will be responsible for analysing supply chain processes, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements to enhance performance and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with or for a transport company and a solid understanding of Independent Software Vendors (ISVs).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' supply chain operations, identifying areas for improvement.
Develop and implement strategic supply chain solutions to optimise logistics, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
Collaborate with clients to understand their business goals and tailor solutions to meet their specific needs.
Utilise your experience with transport companies to offer specialised insights into logistics and transportation management.
Understand and apply knowledge of ISVs to recommend and integrate appropriate software solutions that align with clients’ operational requirements.
Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Provide ongoing support and training to clients to ensure successful implementation of supply chain strategies.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management and logistics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in D365 supply chain management, with a strong background in transportation logistics.
Proven experience working with or for a transport company.
In-depth understanding of Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and their role in supply chain management.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
