My client is a manufacturing and engineering company with a presence in the UK and Europe, comprising over 7 different entities under the parent group. They are in the process of transitioning all entities to Business Central. The UK and Irish entities are currently on NAV 2016, with plans to move to Business Central. The Swedish and Spanish entities will also be moving to Business Central, with go-live scheduled for December 2024.
They are seeking a BC Developer to join the existing systems team, responsible for developing end-to-end solutions. The role involves working closely with the systems manager and group head of IT, both experienced NAV specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with upgrading and migrating existing C/AL codebase to AL, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
Collaborate with project team members, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather and document functional specifications and requirements.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance throughout the upgrade process.
Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) for system reliability.
Update system documentation, training materials, and best practices related to Business Central development.
Maintain codebase integrity for all Business Central Environments through source control and extension release management.
Manage AL extensions to ensure compliance with Change Management and Microsoft Upgrades.
