Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilitiesChampion retail development and new processes across all retail channelsPlan and develop new retail processes including insights, operations and marketingOwn, Drive and support companywide strategic projects inc Retail UniverseIdentifying and negotiating property acquisitions, freehold purchases and rent models for new stores - Collaborating with key team members and HQ.Undertake site inspections, development appraisals, P&L inc Capex simulations, legal and planning due diligence on all opportunitiesDeveloping and maintaining positive relationships with HQ, local Subsidiaries ,agents, landlords, tenants and developersBeing responsible for the full development and planning process from initial concept to final completion within storesYour key people management responsibilitiesProvide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction.Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities.Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety.Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates.Manage the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members.Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner.To be accountable for ensuring your team are compliant with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding the company values.What we need for this roleTo be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:Experience in Retail Operations and new store opening processes.Excellent analytical and reporting skills including forecasting, KPIs metrics, and P&L managementExperience in European real estate (flagship, mainline and concessions)Sound European commercial property and legal knowledgeA well-networked individual with refined negotiating skillsSound understanding of Marketing and Event planningThe ability to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlinesStrong Microsoft Office skillsA full driving licence and the flexibility to travel throughout the UK + EuropeWhat does success look like?Ensure successful implementation of outstanding operations, retail real estate development, and solutions across European marketsIdentify key locations and find insights regarding the retail operations and KPIs for subsidiariesReporting to the senior management to support them on DTC planning process from initial concept to completion and then review.
