Cyber Security Manager – Nottingham hybrid - £60,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Locke & McCloud are looking for an experienced Cyber security professional to join our client, a dynamic organization with a strong commitment to technological advancement and security. Currently undergoing a strategic change, they are looking to grow their security team. In this role you will play a crucial role in protecting digital assets and ensuring the integrity of our systems. You will lead a team of talented professionals to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures. Your primary objective will be to safeguard our systems, networks, and data from potential cyber threats while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategy Development: Collaborate with executive leadership to define and implement a robust cyber security strategy aligned with business objectives.
Assessment and Management: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats, and develop mitigation plans to address them effectively.
Policies and Procedures: Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across the organization to maintain a secure environment.
Operations: Oversee day-to-day security operations, including monitoring of security systems, incident response, and investigation of security breaches.
Awareness Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees about cyber security best practices and promote a culture of security awareness.
Management: Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers to ensure compliance with contractual security requirements and standards.
and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and lead efforts to maintain certifications and accreditations.
Incident Response: Lead the response to security incidents, coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Tool Evaluation and Implementation: Evaluate security technologies and tools, and oversee their implementation to enhance the organization's security posture.
Leadership and Development: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the cyber security team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or similar certifications preferred.
experience in a cyber security leadership role, with a strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.
knowledge of threat landscape, emerging cyber security trends, and best practices.
in conducting risk assessments, developing security policies, and managing security incidents.
communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
