Grafton Recruitment are delighted to be working exclusively with a leading Logistics business in Hull who are looking for a Customs Specialist to join their expanding team.

Duties to include

• Import/Export Sales order processing (order information and Customs entries)
• Coordinating planned activities with Logistics, Plants and Warehouses, Transportation Partners (Freight Forwarders, Brokers, Carriers, and NVOCC, Air Lines and GSA) Third Party Vendors and Credit
• Monitoring and managing end to end Import/Export order fulfilment
• Assure on-going regulatory compliance for the order and ensure accuracy of import/export documents and charges;
• Understanding of the customer, market, and import/export requirements:
• Collaboration with supply chain partners and third-party transportation partners to determine most effective way to deliver/fulfil the order for the customer;
• Performing due diligence activities associated with screening process of Third Parties with the ability to check at transactional level;
• Determining import/export controls EUR1, GSP, ATR, COO, End Use, IPR, OPR, Import/Export Licences applicable to the order and coordinate with the trade compliance team as needed;

Successful candidates will have the following

• Two or more years of experience in handling all aspects of Import/Export/Customs experience in freight forwarding environment
• Fluency in English written and spoken.
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in import and export.
• Experience in developing work procedures and written instructions.
• Experience in logistics and/or Customs
• Ability to read and interpret government regulations
