Customs & Freight Forwarding Supervisor

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer & Freight Forwarding Supervisor to join the team on a permanent basis, operating from their Dyce head quarters.
Reporting to the Customs Manager, this role will lead a team of customs & freight forwarding professionals, communicating Company goals, safety practices and deadlines. They will provide support to management including with recruitment and training, motivate the team and support their development.
Along with qualifications in Air Cargo Security and Dangerous Goods by Air (IATA), the successful candidate will offer:
Strong technical customs knowledge
Experience in a team lead/supervisory role
Well-developed influencing, motivational and leadership skills
Dangerous Goods Awareness
Knowledge of freight forwarding/logistics
Key Duties will include but not be limited to:
Answer team member questions, provide resolution to team member queries, and oversee team member work as regards quality and guideline compliance.
Ensure company brand materials and physical working spaces meet and exceed company presentation standards.
Provide quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints.
Deliver the operational day to day management of the Customs and Freight Forwarding team.
Assist the Customs Manager with internal and external training.
Attend client meetings alongside the Customs Manager and maintain and manage Client KPIs.
