Customer Service Executive - Travel bookings

Circa �22,000 + Bens (Some weekend working at higher rate throughout the year)

On-site - Chester, commutable via Liverpool, Warrington, Wirral, and North Wales.

Applause IT are looking to hire a Customer Service Executive for our client, a Global Travel company based near Chester. They are renowned in the travel industry, connecting the travel trade with the world's leading airlines and providing fast growing, forward thinking innovative travel industry solutions.

This position is part of the Flights Support team and entails providing front-line support for the company. In this role, you will assist travel organisations and customers directly through phone, email, and online channels. You will utilise their bespoke systems and GDS's to efficiently sell, create, and manage bookings. In your role as Customer Service Executive, it is essential to cultivate a good understanding of the market and competitors, as well as to grasp the needs of customers. You will be able to provide customers with valuable guidance on effective solutions for their requirements, as well as having the ability to make informed business choices regarding profit margins and pricing for each individual booking.

You will also be working alongside the Team Leader to boost sales, achieve financial goals, and strive to meet sales targets. In addition, you will establish strong connections with personnel from airline partners to reinforce relationships.

The successful Customer Service Executive should have:

  • Exceptional customer service skills, with prior experience in customer support roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities who is capable of taking initiative and making well-thought-out choices.
  • Familiarity with the travel sector, including the utilisation of a GDS or airline knowledge, would be advantageous. However, this is not essential, and full training will be provided.
