Hours: 40 hours per week

The role

Our client based in Nottingham who specialise in providing an exceptional order fulfilment service to their customers, are seeking an experienced Customer Service Executive to join their team on a full-time basis.

The role will offer a fast pace and varied position, delivering an exceptional customer service journey as well as being a confident communicator when speaking to clients and key accounts. You will be experienced in working to SLA’s and pride yourself on building excellent working relationships. You will have experience of delivering an excellent service over the phone and via email and be a personable and confident communicator.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to have experience of working in both customer service and administration, be able to nurture key accounts and have a forward focus approach to getting the best result for both the customer and their clients.

Main duties and responsibilities


  • Understands the how profit is generated and their own impact on the delivery of enhanced profitability
  • An ability to manage all aspects of their role accurately, ensuring the best financial outcome for clients
  • Demonstrate the skills required to manage our activity to a commercial contract, understanding implications of change and minimising financial issues for the company
  • Has an awareness of best practise solutions within the organisation and assess suitability to add value to their client’s activity? Work with colleagues internally to deliver these solutions
  • Has an awareness of business solutions to identify a need and allow for cross selling
  • Has an awareness of market, industry and client news to develop knowledge


  • Personality to establish solid and trusting working relationships with key contacts
  • Ability to convey to clients their importance to the business, being seen to be responsive at all times
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with internal colleagues

Skills and experience sought


  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Strong administration skills with a good working knowledge of MS Office software
  • Ability to employ Investigative and analytical skills in line with direction from management
  • Data management skills to provide sound information upon which decisions can be taken
  • Ability to produce accurate and appropriately designed management information reports
  • Understand the importance of and create accurate internal financial reporting
  • A commitment to the production of accurate and complete invoicing
  • Strong communications skills, including persuasive and concise written skills
