We're looking for a friendly and reliable Customer Service Advisor to work for our client, a specialist supplier of environmentally friendly and sustainable living products for inside and outside the home. This is a unique and exciting opportunity help shape the business at a critical point in its growth, playing a vital role within a small team and across multiple departments.
Part-time permanent role based at the Hitchin HQ, working 25 hours per week 9:00am to 2:00pm Monday to Friday. Offering an hourly rate of £12.00 plus a fantastic range of benefits including profit share bonus scheme, retail discounts programme, childcare scheme, gym discount, plus a range of wellbeing initiatives to encourage positive mental health.

The Role
As an experienced Customer Service Advisor you would process website, marketplace and B2B orders, responding to customer queries via email and phone, taking orders and payments over the phone and keeping all records up to date and accurate.
Key tasks will include…
- Answer incoming phone calls in a timely manner, responding and resolving any actions as necessary
- Answer customer service enquiries via Zendesk ticketing system or directly via email
- Take customer orders and payments over the phone
- Dealing with customer queries and processing customer refunds
- Liaise with couriers with regards to returns and exchanges

The Candidate
The role will suit an adaptable and reliable individual with customer facing experience in an ecommerce/online retail environment, with a friendly, tactful, polite, and professional manner. You will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong listening skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Computer literate and knowledge of CRM systems
- Positive, proactive, and quick-thinking attitude
- A knowledge of gardening and garden equipment would be an advantage.
