Job Description
Considering the ongoing expansion of AESC in the UK and European region there is a need to put in place a Customer Quality Manager to build and develop a team of professionals that will exceed the expectations of the new and current customer base.
Mission & Main Objectives:
Quality champion for all customers related matters at key project phases and in series production.
Key communicator to ensure customer requirements are met.
Represent and protect AESC’s interests while acknowledging the voice of the customer.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
Business risk assessments considering customer specific requirements, including warranty terms and consequences,
Customer complaint management balancing customer quality agreements and the needs of the business
Lead quality assurance activities following customer specific programs using APQP / MLA
Oversea the preparation of technical documents and presentations for customers and provide technical assistance to field staff as required.
Manage QA team priorities and action plans for customer stock sort and incident investigations.
Target setting and KPI’s management
Activity planning and task execution to schedule within cross functional teams.
Overseas working to support customer requirements.
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Confident, pragmatic leader with the ability to communicate and influence at all management levels.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, ideally multilingual.
Recruitment of engineering professionals and staff management experience essential
Coach, mentor, and develop members in a service and/or customer facing team, ideally with remote staff management experience.
Ability to adapt to any changes in plans or circumstances.
Budget setting, control, and management.
Knowledge of IATF16949, VDA6.3 ideally with experience of automotive core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, FMEA, SPC)
Proven troubleshooter with strong technical skills applied in industries such as Lithium-ion battery electrode/materials manufacture, pharmaceutical or semi-conductor.
Full driving license and ability to travel at short notice (including extended periods overseas).
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (with Honors) or equivalent in an engineering or science-based subject.
Desirable qualifications relating to Lithium-ion battery technology performance and advanced materials.
