JOB HOLDER’S PRIMARY OBJECTIVES



To be a CSA Resident Engineer (RE), as part of our delivery team on the Powergate site, in West London. To report and liaise with our CSA discipline leads for the project. The role will be undertaken during the final phases of the site works over a 6-month period, for a large multi-storey Data Centre.



To review and witness works on site including first of a kind inspections, ongoing pre-pour and post-pour inspections and inspections of the CSA works, as they are constructed. To provide written records of site benchmark inspections. To liaise with the General Contractor and their sub-contractors on our behalf, for the inspection of CSA works, witnessing, testing and snagging.



The RE will be expected to become familiar with our  IFC package (i.e. Structural Specifications, Standards and Drawings) and will be responsible for monitoring the progress of the works and to ensure compliance with the requirements and quality of the specified works.



The RE shall ideally have structural /civil design skills and be able to demonstrate previous CSA Resident Engineer experience on similar projects with steel frames, concrete metal deck and in-situ basements.



The RE shall assist the design team to review Technical Submissions and respond to RFIs on the CDE portal (Aconex). The ideal candidate should also be able to work closely and collaboratively with the General Contractor and their sub-contractors to resolve any design or coordination issues on site.



RESPONSIBILITIES




  • RE shall be site based and collaborate effectively with the General Contractor, their sub-contractors and the supply chain.

  • RE should have design skills and experience to be able to coordinate and resolve design issues in agreement with the General Contractor and their sub-contractors.

  • Oversee site activities and provide technical advice on construction and design.

  • Agree any design duties with our CSA discipline leads for the project.

  • Review Technical Submissions and answer RFI’s on the CDE portal (Aconex), in consultation with our CSA discipline leads for the project.

  • Review General Contractor’s and their sub-contractors fabrication/construction drawings in advance of inspection of completed works on site.

  • Check and ensure the work undertaken by the General Contractor and their sub-contractors is compliant with our IFC package (i.e Drawings, Specification and Design Standards).
