About the Role

We are looking for
CRM/Email & Marketing Automation Manager
to reengage our audience and create dynamic engagement strategies across the customer life cycle.
We believe that a CRM/email & marketing automation manager is someone who
deeply understands human psychology and the consumer journey .
He/she also has the skills in database management, user segmentation, and email marketing to create successful automated funnels that
deliver results for both the customer and the company .
You’ll work closely with the content and marketing teams and be part of the performance marketing team. You’ll enjoy being involved in a more holistic role that requires you to wear multiple hats, and
thrive in a start-up environment .
In the early days, you will be responsible for cleaning up our current email list, creating new systems to maintain our list and database, and setting up the systems to monitor automations and
implement improvements to increase engagement and sales .
In the long-term, you’ll be part of
leading the marketing automation team
and enable Arabic Unlocked’s international expansion.
General Responsibilities
Analyse & interpret CRM data, including testing data to understand opportunities for improvement.
Centralise all data within our CRM.
Build out triggered campaigns and automations to support new member onboarding, user engagement and re-engagement, and other high priority CTAs.
Drive A/B and multivariate testing across subject lines, message content, CTAs, images, timing, and frequency.
Monitor performance and prepare performance reports on key business metrics.
Create refined audience segments based on user behaviour.
Prepare accurate reports on user behaviour across all communication channels.
Leverage user insights and data analysis to suggest and implement improvements that will maximise relevance, engagement, and conversion of users.
Using innovative analytics/data science methods to develop smart campaigns, churn prevention and ways to improve sales conversion and retention.
Creating and executing CRM email marketing strategies that nurture long customer relationship life cycles.
Experience working in the fields of analytics, sales tools and/or CRM.
Strong understanding of database management, user segmentation, and email marketing.
Experience working with a range of tools and systems including; CRM/ESP (Active Campaign, Salesforce, HubSpot, Leanplum, SendGrid, etc), marketing automation (eg: Marketo), ERP systems and other data management platforms.
Experience leading teams, preferably with experience across different geographies.
Proven track record of working with C-level stakeholders on their commercial needs and an ability to translate complex topics into actionable insights.
Proven experience in creating customer lifecycle journeys targeted at activating new customers, retaining existing customers, and reactivating those inactive customers.
Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
Excellence in numeracy and analytical skills and ability to synthesise large amounts of data and information into concise recommendations and action for the company.
You must have a data-driven mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit: You’ll use your initiative and take personal ownership and accountability for the CRM function.
Working knowledge of HTML and email marketing best practices.
Understanding of GDPR regulations and how to ensure compliance.
You have an ownership mindset: you are comfortable with both responsibility and accountability.
You work well in teams and enjoy collaborating with other team members.
You thrive working in a remote startup environment.
You are familiar with remote working tools and working across different time zones.
Effective written and verbal communication (we are a remote team so this is very important.)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
A collaborator and team player by nature.
A person that is capable to lead by example.
A passion for language (you don’t need to be able to speak Arabic, but you have a love and appreciation for language.)
