Job Description
The Role
A fantastic opportunity for an outstanding and experienced criminal Solicitor to join our busy and successful practice. As a senior member of the team, the ideal candidate will be highly motivated, dedicated, professional, a team player, have a genuine passion for criminal defence work and take pride in their work. Excellent client care and effective communication are essential. We are looking for someone to join our forward thinking and innovative practice who matches us with enthusiasm, is keen to develop their own network and is confident holding their own in the police station as well as on their feet in the magistrates’ court, when the need arises.
A friendly, approachable and positive outlook are ideal qualities.
We practise in all areas of criminal litigation including inquest and inquiry work and have an outstanding reputation in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Managing own caseload of Police Station, Magistrates Court and Crown Court files;
Police Station and Court attendance;
Assisting with Lexcel compliance;
Preparing articles on relevant areas for publication on the website and social media;
Supervision of junior members of the team.
Qualifications and Experience
7+ years PQE;
Confident and experienced in managing your own caseload;
Experience dealing with a combination of legal aid and private clients;
Knowledge of Lexcel compliance is desirable;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Efficient case progression and effective work practices.

The position is full time, presently fully office based but moving towards hybrid now that we have moved to a paperless office. Competitive package of market rate salary and performance based bonus.
