GMPs officers and staff work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to keep almost three million people safe. In this role you will provide an operational police support service by determining the accuracy and relevance of criminal record information held on the Police National Computer and local systems, such as arrests and conviction information, liaising with Crown and Magistrate courts as well as responding to all enquiries from police and non-police agencies regarding criminal record, prosecution and disclosure issues and following thorough interrogation of all available sources of information, offer advice as appropriate in order to resolve criminal record and prosecution enquiries.
You will have carried out duties relevant to the post including keyboard experience and of working with databases and spreadsheets. You will have experience of using the telephone to relay and abstract information and of producing and receiving effective written communication to high standards of accuracy within tight timescales.
You will be capable of working with minimum supervision and using initiative together with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and other personnel, both within and outside the organisation in person/on the telephone or in writing.
