Job DescriptionOur client is an established challenger bank with a dedicated Development Finance lending business.OverviewKey role within the Bank's Development Finance Credit and Operations team, supporting the Credit and Operations Director and Credit team in Credit Control and Due Diligence in a rapidly expanding part of the Business. Looking for an individual with strong front-line credit experience in residential development finance.Making Credit decisions on Facility proposals as a member of the Bank's Credit CommitteeEnsuring that due diligence has been carried out fully and correctly on new Facilities and on monthly draw downsMonitoring the performance of facilities on an ongoing basisEnsuring the Bank is meeting statutory and regulatory compliance requirementsEnsuring that the Bank's risk controls are sufficient and are being operated properlyKey Responsibilities:Sit on Bank's Credit Committee, ensure that the credit approval process runs smoothly and ensure accurate minutes produced in a timely fashionCheck accuracy of Facility Letters to ensure that they reflect the terms sanctionedPerform due diligence on credit approved loans prior to draw down and on those loan amendments with a due diligence requirementSigning off on monthly build draw down requests and reviewing the Project Monitoring Surveyors reportsTaking part in Loan Review meetings and auditing content to ensure accurate and appropriateParticipate in monthly Credit Risk meetingsMaintain the Professional panel and Broker listReview KYC compliance checks to ensure in line with the Bank's policiesWorking with Compliance, Financial Crime, Operational Risk, DPO, Property and other departments to ensure that we comply with all relevant Bank and other regulationsReview and audit of operational controlsAssist in developing and maintaining the operational and credit procedures documentation.What you will Bring:Strong analytical and verbal reasoning skillsFamiliar with Banking, GDPR and AML regulationsMicrosoft word and excel Qualifications and experienceStrong background in CreditExperience of Residential Development FinanceSalary: up £85/£90k depending on experienceHybrid working (2/3 days in the office)
