Job Title: Credit Controller (Logistics)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom

Salary: �25,000 + Quarterly Bonus

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Are you an experienced Credit Controller seeking an exciting opportunity within the dynamic field of logistics? If so, we have the perfect role for you! We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Credit Controller, based in Manchester.

My client is a leading logistics company with a strong presence in the Manchester area. We specialize in providing efficient and reliable logistics solutions to our clients, ensuring seamless transportation and supply chain management.

Position Overview:

As a Credit Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring he financial health and stability of our company. You will be responsible for managing the credit control process, monitoring outstanding debts, and ensuring timely payments from our customers within the logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email, and letter within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.
  • Negotiate repayment plans and follow up to ensure adherence.
  • Resolve customer queries related to invoicing and payments.
  • Review and assess credit limits and terms for new and existing customers.
  • Work closely with the sales and operations teams to resolve billing disputes and discrepancies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on debtor status to management.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in credit control or a similar finance role within the logistics industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) is advantageous.
  • A proactive and positive attitude towards problem-solving.
